BLADDER CANCER STUDY INFORMATION

According to Dr. Elizabeth McNiel, DVM, PhD from Michigan State, they are sharing their samples with the Department of Health and Human Services group currently linked to the National Club website: Bladder Cancer Study ; the Department of Health and Human Services group will share a portion of what is needed by Michigan State. So you can
1) give your sample to Michigan State and cover both groups or
2) give samples to both the Department of Health and Human Services and to Michigan State.

Samples given to only the Department of Health and Human Services will provide some but not all of the information needed by Michigan State.

Dr. McNiel states that Rescue dogs without a Pedigree are welcome to participate. Also, samples are not limited to Michigan dogs. Dogs must be 7 years (or in that range if the real age is unknown).

Your vet can collect the blood and urine samples and send them in. Your vet should contact Dr. McNiel for instructions at 517-353-3164 or email: mcniel@msu.edu.

THANK YOU for considering participation!

Listed below are vets that we are aware have the necessary information to participate in collecting the samples; they can submit in batches if there are multiple dogs sampled. (MSU will reimburse the costs of taking and handling the samples ):
