Belly Bands
| Belly bands are a great way to
help if you are living with a male dog having incontinence problem or who lifts his leg in
the house or when visiting friends. (Not recommended for normal house training issues.) Belly bands are used with an incontinence pad placed lengthwise and then wrapped around the dogs middle so that the critical area is covered. Measure your dog snuggly around the middle. Leave a small
consideration for the incontinence pad (they are very thin these days) and possible
growth. (If growth considerations are large, order for current size and reorder as the dog
gets larger since the band must fit snuggly enough to not fall off.)
These Belly Bands are homemade by volunteers of our rescue/club. They are made of a very nice plaid with Velcro strips for closure. Please let us choose the color of plaid for you. (Materials change over time based on availability.) The belly bands are machine washable. Remove the band as they go outside so they will not soil it. And put it back on when they come in. Most boys accept them easily. For many, they seem to serve as reminders and they have far fewer accidents as a result.Consider buying two so one can be in the wash while the other is being worn.
